The 1,028 acre ski area has 118 trails and 5 lifts. There is 3,635 ft. of vertical rise and you can begin your descent from 11,675 ft.

The highlands offers ski vacation deals but you need to be looking before the season opens in order to score the best deals. The terrain is varied and offers courses for all skill levels.

When the powder is fresh the highlands might be the best skiing and snowboarding in Colorado. This is big mountain skiing with the highland bowl being the hangout of many world class ski and snowboarders.

While on the slopes you will have great views of the Maroon Bells and the White River National Forest.
