Colorado Fishing Regulations

Colorado fishing regulations are standard with the exception of special regulation waters. It is important that you have a current fishing license and any required stamps.

For hunters you must have a Colorado hunting license and all of the necessarytags and paperwork.

Before you go fishing or hunting we recommend reading the regulations book that is supplied by the Colorado Fish and Game. You can download the required material at Colorado Division of Wildlife.

Regulations change every year therefore it is important to stay current. With the exception of special regulation waters you can keep 4 trout, and 10 brook trout under 8 inches.

Fishing and Hunting regulations are different based on the species you are targeting and the area in which you are targeting them. If you do not know and follow the regulations a Colorado Game Warden will cite you!
