Front Range Hiking

The Front Range hiking offers a wide variety of trails that are both fun and beautiful. Let us help you find a great trail!



We will be adding hikes and pictures on a regular basis. If you have a favorite hike and you want to share please contact us.

Horseshoe Lake

This is a 7 mile round-trip hike located in the Byers Peak Wilderness. Use the Byers Peak Trailhead on FR 164 for access. This moderate hike has great views of the Indian Peaks Wilderness.

Mt. McConnel Trail

This is an 8 mile round trip hike in the Cache La Poudre. Access the trail from the Mountain Park Campground on CO 14. This moderate hike has great views of the Cache La Poudre canyon.

Comanche Peak

This is a difficult 15 mile round-trip hike in the Comanche Peak Wilderness. Access from the Mummy Pass Trailhead and be prepared for a difficult hike.

Jasper Lake

This moderate hike in the Indian Peaks Wilderness provides scenic views and camping (limited to designated sites).

Chicago Lakes

Access this 8 mile roundtrip hike from the Mount Evans Road. There is one steep section but the trail is moderate.
