Kendall MountainKendall Mountain is a cheap and fun ski area in the beautiful town of Silverton. It is one of the best small family ski resorts around. The ski area has a 240' vertical and offers an affordable rental program. It is only $15 for an adult lift ticket and youth ski for $10. There are four trails on 35 acres and the mountain is open to skiing and snowboarding.
The Town Silverton Colorado is a historical town and is a popular tourist destination in the summer. Winter is a quiet time in the scenic area. Silverton hotels and lodging are available but it is smart to call ahead. Also check the road conditions and be prepared to use 4-wheel drive and chains.
