Ski Cooper

Ski Cooper is one of the oldest ski areas in Colorado located near the historic mining town of Leadville. You will find action packed runs, sweet powder and a great family environment at one of the finest Colorado ski areas.

The Mountain

With a summit of 11,700 ft. and a 1,200 ft. vertical you will find some awesome runs here. There are 400 acres of terrain accessable from chairlift and another 2,400 acres from a snowcat. There are 26 trails, tons of backcountry and a great ski and snowboard school.

For expert skiiers and snowboarders we recommend a tour on the snowcat for some serious powder and terrain.

Lift tickets are reasonably priced and the mountain offers great Colorado ski packages.

The Town

Lodging can be found in Salida, Buena Vista or Leadville with Leadville being the closest. The location is an ideal Rocky Mountain setting in a historic mining town. The atmosphere is relaxed and the dining and night life is casual in presentation and as good as any other Colorado ski town.
