Sunlight MountainThe Sunlight Mountain Ski Area is located in the White River National Forest with stunning views of the Elk Mountains and has something for everyone. This laid back resort has beautiful beginner runs, smooth intermediate runs and extreme black diamond expert runs.
With a summit at 9,895 ft. and a 2,010 ft. vertical the mountain has some pitch. You will find 470 acres of terrain and runs for all skill levels. The Heathen is the steepest run with a 52 degree slant. The Pump Haus Terrain Park has plenty of room for tricks and air and the resort offers snowmobile tours as a side activity. There are also plenty of opportunities for snowshoe and cross-country skiing. The mountain has cheap lift tickets when compared to other resorts and offers great lessons through their snow school. The Area Sunlight is located near Glenwoods Springs where you will find everything from inexpensive motels to luxury lodging. Dining options also range from fast food to amazing restaurants. Glenwood Springs has shopping boutiques and is located about 30 miles from Aspen Colorado.
