Yucca House National Monument



The Yucca House National Monument is located near Cortez Colorado and is a very important archaeological area. Yucca House is open year-round and there are no fees at this monument.

Considerations

Yucca house is located in a remote, dry area. We recommend you bring plenty of supplies and some extra gasoline. When you visit the monument you will be on your own and the closest services will be in Cortez.

The Ruins

The Yucca House area was home to Pueblo Indians or Anasazi Indians. It is an important piece of Archaeology in the United States and shoulb be approached with caution. In order to ensure that the ruins stay intact you should not touch or move any materials.
